Whats the best thing for constipation in pregnancy?
I haven't been able to 'go' properly for a few days now and its getting uncomfortable. What helped you if you had constipation?

Fibre!

I went to the chemist and got coloxyl, it is safe to take while pregnant, it worked great haven't needed it since that day. If your after a natural alternative try cranberry juice maybe a couple of cups a day or dried apricots. Also it could be the type of prenatal supplement your on, if it has high doses of iron that can sometimes cause constipation (higher then 30mg a day)
Try drinking at least 2 litres of water a day and eating lots of fresh foods.

As for me, i eat lots of cabbage, wheat bread, beans, corns and high fiber fruits. :) It works.
and hey, drink lots of water! Apple juice helps too. Or just eat some apples and oranges :)
If nothing helps, go to the doctor and ask for the safe medication. Sometimes, even the herbal meds is not safe for us pregnants. Thanks :)

dry figs, dry raisins, prune, banana. u wont even know wen ur done heheh
I started out having to drink Miralax in a bottle of Gatorade. Once I got myself regular with that I just made sure I drink at least 80 oz. of water a day. And I also drink half a cup of prune juice everyday.
I tried so many things to help me with that and only 2 things worked that didnt have me crapping every 10 seconds. Phillips Milk of Magnesia Cherry flavor and Activia yogurt. I prefer Activia though because if you take too much Phillips you might get the runs. Ugghhh.
