Pesticides In Foods: How It Could Harm Your Colon And Entire Body

Pesticides are used to kill different kinds of pests that are infesting your house, gardens, and plants. Theses pesticides are all toxic. It can pose a great risk on your health because it usually ends on the foods you eat and water you drink.

If you think that pesticides are only categorized into one, well you are wrong.  There are several kinds which you should know.  Here are some of the categories of pesticides which may be very poisonous to the food you ingest:

1. Insecticides.  This is commonly and extensively used by a lot of people around the world to get rid of all sorts of insects that are infesting your abode.

2. Herbicides.  This is used by farmers and garden lovers to damaged grasses and other unwanted vegetation.

3. Fungicides.  This is used to protect the seedlings from fungi that reside in soils.

4. Bactericides.  This is used to manage the widespread of different types of dangerous bacteria around your environment.

5. Virucides.  This is a type of pesticides that is used to prevent the spread of virus around your home.

6. Nematicides.  This kind of pesticides is used to suppress the growth of roundworms in soil.

7. Miticides.  This is another type of pesticide that kills all sorts of mites and ticks that are affecting your pets.

8. Rodenticides.  This type of pesticides is used to manage the population of rats and mice.

Effects of Pesticide Exposure

Pesticides are considered a great danger not only to plants but to you as well.  Since these chemicals are poisonous and dangerous to both plants and animals, you are also endangered.  This is because your regular diet that consists of foods and vegetables are loaded with the chemicals that are found in these agents.

The usual health problems that are associated to pesticide exposure include the start of Parkinson’s disease, some kinds of memory disorders, problem in reproduction and birth development defects in infants.  Cancer is also associated to too much exposure to pesticides.

Some of the more severe cases of health problems that are associated to pesticides are often misdiagnosed and not properly recognized.  If you are intoxicated by pesticides you will usually experience haziness in your vision, unexplainable headaches, too much secretion of saliva, loose bowel movement, dizziness, vomiting, coma, and even death.  If you are moderately intoxicated, you will experience symptoms that are similar to those associated with asthma, bronchitis, and gastrointestinal tract disorders.

How to reduce pesticides in foods

Pesticides exposure can rarely be prevented but there are some ways in which you can do to limit your exposure.  The first thing you can do is to wash your food thoroughly before eating or cooking it.  If it is possible peel the fruits or vegetables that you are going to consume.

Limit your intake of meat fats because the pesticides can be gathered into animal fats.  If it is possible, cook your food so that the pesticides that had not been removed through washing and peeling can be rid of.

For your colon cleansing, you should practice eating different kinds of fruits, vegetables and grains.  This could help you avoid ingesting the residues of the different kinds of pesticides.  You just have to see to it that you have washed them with water or have cooked them properly.
